Clearly Weird started during a time when the whole world felt a little… weird. In the middle of the pandemic, I was home with an three kids (infant, 4, and 7 year old) with nowhere to go and very little escape from the four walls of our house. Like so many parents, I was trying to keep everyone entertained, keep my sanity, and somehow find a little piece of myself in the middle of the chaos.

I needed a creative outlet.

I started experimenting with tie dye. What started as something fun to do at home quickly became something I couldn't stop thinking about. I loved playing with color, creating something completely unique, and seeing an ordinary piece of clothing transform into something new.

More importantly, I loved how it made me feel. It gave me something that was mine. Something creative. Something fun. Something I could get lost in for a little while. That little creative escape eventually grew into Clearly Weird.

It started with a few bottles of dye and has grown into a creative business centered around wearable art, upcycling, self-expression, and experiences that bring people together. I create one of a kind clothing and accessories, give thrifted and forgotten pieces a second life, and bring hands on creative experiences to parties, events, workshops, and groups. Because I've experienced firsthand how powerful having a creative outlet can be, I want Clearly Weird to give other people that same opportunity.

You don't have to consider yourself an artist. You don't have to know what you're doing. You don't have to make it "perfect." You just have to be willing to make something.
